Entertainment venues in China can reopen for business now |
On May 8, 2020, the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council of China issued a guideline on regular prevention and control of COVID-19. The guideline pointed out that through hard efforts across the country, China's COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control has been further consolidated. In such a case, the prevention and control efforts have been transformed from emergency to normal. With strict prevention measures in place, shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels and restaurants should be all opened, reservations will be used for parks and tourism scenic spots, and indoor areas and closed entertainment places, such as libraries and cinemas will be allowed to hold conferences and exhibitions if necessary.
