The Wenzhou Dongtan Dream Bay Project, with a total investment of RMB 3 billion, was inaugurated on May 21, 2020. The Dream Bay, as another tourism complex project following the Qingshan Island project in the district, after completing and putting into operation, will greatly enrich the tourism format of Dongtou; enhance the core competitiveness of tourism; accelerating the construction of the Dongtou global tourism demonstration area and international tourism island. It is understood that the Dream Bay Project is located at the core location of the western part of the roundabout in Dongtou District, Wenzhou, with a planned land area of about 6,000 acres. The project mainly builds related supporting facilities such as boutique resort hotels, undersea world, coastal water houses, ecological dams, artificial beaches, ecological farming, yacht docks, mountain view homestays and commercial tourism and entertainment establishments. This will build a tourism and commercial complex that focuses on tourism, entertainment and integrates commerce, culture and sports.

The Dream Bay project will use advanced design concepts to create quality tourism and strive to become a "leading" project for the overall tourism of Dongtou District. The artificial beaches of the project’s first phase are expected to be completed and opened in 2021. In addition to the Dream Bay project, there are cultural tourism projects such as Qingshan Happy Island, Venice Town, Star City ? Starry Sky Island, Nancehai Diaoyu Island, and East China Sea Carving Art Theme Park. At present, the Qingshan Island project has completed an investment of nearly RMB 300 million, 11 landscapes and six beaches including the stunning swimming pool, hot spring mud bath, and ocean ranch are under construction.
