Yogyakarta to Have Sophisticated Water Park |
Yogyakarta is opening a new tourist destination Jogja Bay Waterpark in Maguwoharjo, Depok, Sleman. The water park offers 19 different water rides in a 7.7-hectare area. The park, which is opened starting from December 20, will also have education center for tsunami and earthquake including 25-meter lighthouse. “There is a concept of adventure which is supported with advanced technology,” said CEO of PT Taman Wisata Jogja Bay Waterpark, Bambang Soeroso on Friday, December 18. Bambang claimed that the waterpark will become the most complete and sophisticated waterpark in Indonesia. Among the rides is How to Survive in Tsunami and Earthquake that is wrapped with high technology capable of producing eight types of waves including tsunami wave. “The location is set with concept of pirate settlement having tropical lust ambient,” Bambang added. Tickets are Rp90,000 for adults and Rp60,000 for children. Ticket for seniors above 65 years is the same price with children ticket. (2016/01/11) |
