Guizhou Shuanglong East Science Valley, Mainland China’s first science fiction theme park, will open to the public on October 1.  Located at Economic Zone, Hangkonggang, Shuanglong, Guizhou City, the valley was co-established by Shuimu Animation Co., Ltd., Oriental Era Media Co., Ltd., and Shuanglong Airport Group, and integrates science, education, culture and innovation. Phase one of this project covers an area of 500 Mu (about 333,333 sq. meters) with a UFO Alien Dome Base appearance, which comprises VR Entertainment Pavilion, VR cinema, VR roller coaster and Holographic Aliens’ Base among others.  Whist, Phase two with an area of 1,500 Mu (1,000,000 sq. meters) will be founded as the digital entertainment industry complex featuring a science fiction application and R&D.  It was announced that East Science Valley smartly takes full advantage of big data and VR technology and is committed to providing visitors with immersive experience and creates a unique industry plus development plus tourism commercial mode, enriching Guizhou citizens’ tour type whist providing edutainment fun.  Nine themed attractions including 50-meter high Transformers Bungee Jumping Tower, Interstellar Tour, and Interstellar Circus that will open to the public on the opening day, the remaining four theme venues are expected to open on May 1, 2017.  (2016/10/14)
