Chinese theme park developer considers building park in Paysandu, Uruguay |
Representatives of Shenzen OCT, a Chinese-based theme-park and tourism-development company, are eyeing an opportunity to build an amusement park in Paysandu, Uruguay. The park could measure 220 hectares and could attract visitors from around Uruguay, as well as guests from Brazil and Argentina. There is also potential to attract guests from China to the property. Guillermo Caraballo, the mayor of the city, recently hosted a private meeting with Jian Li, the general manager of Shenzen OCT, to discuss the opportunity. The meeting concluded without a formal announcement on the development of a park, but the parties agreed to continue the conversation. (2018/01/02)
