World-Class Water Park Opens in Vietnam |
Getting to Vietnam’s newest water park is half the fun. Visitors to the Aquatopia Water Park first take a stunning 25-miniute, 8-kilometer cable car ride from Phu Quoc Island in the south of the country to the Hon Thom Nature Park on Pineapple Island. Guinness World Records certified the ride as the world’s “longest nonstop three-rope cable car.” The Aquatopia Water Park, developed by the Sun Group, features more than 20 Proslide and WhiteWater slides in two sections: one for children and an adventure area that is themed “like a mysterious island with sea monsters, pirates, and other animals.” The Sun Group deployed the latest technology at the park. Facial recognition speeds entry into the attraction, while guests use radio-frequency identification (RFID) wristbands colorcoded based on height, to buy food and drinks. Company officials also say Aquatopia is the first water park in Vietnam where Ellis & Associates certified the lifeguard team.(2020/06/11)
