On July 23, the 1st edition of GTI Kuala Lumpur Expo (hereafter GTI KL Expo), covering an area of 5,100 sq. meters, came to its end in a very satisfactory way at Tun Razak Hall 2, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia. The event attracted buyers from Singapore, Sri Lanka, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Iran, as well as Hongkong and other states in Malaysia like Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah and so on.
The year of 2017 is the 50th anniversary of ASEAN, as well the theme year when ASEAN nations greatly promote family entertainment. That is to say, the entire ASEAN economic zone has an increasing demand on indoor and outdoor amusement equipment that is related to family entertainment. Given that the average annual per capital income exceeds USD10,000, the leisure and entertainment industry that covers amusement, games and tourism has grown rapidly. There are 16 theme parks and water parks spread throughout the nation, and another 10 theme parks will reportedly open in the next few years. As a result, Malaysia is rapidly turning into the “capital of the Southeast Asian theme park”. Several large-scale theme parks such as 20th Century Fox World and Legoland have perched themselves in Malaysia. Moreover, both investors from home and abroad are keen to invest in ambitious projects, such as FEC.
GTI KL Expo shoulders the missions that lead the China Culture and Entertainment industry to the Belt and Road countries and promote Chinese manufactured amusement products in ASEAN market. Though confronted with difficulties and problems in preparing the first edition of GTI KL Expo, we GTI committee have our mind made up to keep going forward. As we believe, chances always come in the clothing of ‘difficulties’, and there is always a strong demand behind difficulties!
We may not be a champion, but we can take a leading role!
We, in the name of game playing and amusement, will bring industry members in Southeast Asia Chinese solutions featuring new experiences for entertainment! We are deeply aware that China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative has gained support and recognition from so many countries “not because China is among the largest economies in the world and not because of its GDP rankings but because of how big the responsibility of this world it has shouldered.” Based on this belief, we are going all out to facilitate Chinese ideas, Chinese image, Chinese wisdom and Chinese style for the industry to reach Southeast Asia and the whole world through game and amusement equipment!
Besides, GTI Asia China Expo (Sept.13-15) is to be held in Guangzhou, and GTI Asia Taipei Expo 2018 (May 10~12) will welcome its 25 anniversary. Thanks for the supports from every company and reader, because of all of you, we GTI, can go further in this field.
