Asia Gaming Summit was successfully held by Beacon Events Ltd on November 8th to 10th 2017 in Taipei, Taiwan. The meeting gathered more than 200 industry specialists from around the world, who together discussed whether Taiwan will become the next gambling destination, and also explored online gambling and the development of website outsourcing. This year, Taiwan's industry has faced many hot topics such as online gambling and the future of amusement parks. These topics also included the Kinmen gambling referendum, the development of the outsourcing in the industry, and the movement of more and more online outsourcing companies from foreign investors into Taiwan to name just a few. Asia Gaming Summit has successfully met the needs of the market and won the recognition and appreciation from many speakers of gambling specialists from Taiwan and Overseas.
Speakers were not only from the local industry in Taiwan such as Steve Hsieh, Chairman of Taiwan Lottery, Mooze Lee, secretary of online gambling outsourcing company- WISBET Digital Co., Ltd., and Calvin Yang, Managing Partner at Join Law, but also from the sectors of esports, sports gambling, lottery, cyber security, Crypto currencies, and affiliates with overseas speakers from diverse fields, including Frank Schuengel, Product Director of Cryptocurrency Operator, Spencer Yang, Head of Asia of Unikrn, and Jesper Ramskov Jensen, CEO of iGaming Asia to discuss the development and the opportunities in Taiwan and the Asia Gambling sector.
Although the gambling referendum in Kinmen was not passed, at the meeting there was still a discussion about new opportunities in nearby regions with regards to amusement parks. The speakers were Professor Augustine Ha Ton Vihn, Chairman, Stellar Management Corporation, Basilio Rodriguez, President, North Cagayan Gaming and Amusement Corp. and a group of experts from Japan, including Ayako Nakayama, Executive Director of Japan IR Association; Masahiro Terada, Senior Manager at PWC Consulting; and Tomohiro Takagi, Counsel at Nishimura & Asahi.
Asia Gaming Summit has been very successful, and makes people look forward to its 10th anniversary IGaming Asia Congress (IGA Congress) in Macaw, March 2018. Ms. Sue Schneider, the Editorial Director of Gaming Law Review and Economics was first to confirm participation and become the 10th IGA Congress speaker, her speech will recap the past decade’s development of IGA Congress and give the future prospect of trends in the online gambling industry.
