Xinjiang’s largest Xihai Cultural Water Park is about to open |
In order to enhance the popularity of Bosten Lake, Bohu County Government invested 200 million yuan (28 million U.S. dollars) to build the largest Xihai Cultural Water Park in Xinjiang, China, comprehensively improves the environment and reception capacity, and upgrades its tourism offering.
The park is expected to be opened in early June this year. It is located at Dahekou Scenic Area of Bosten Lake, a national 5A level scenic spot, covering an area of 120,000 sq.m. As the first water park in Xinjiang with the theme of Journey to the West, it has set up 12 entertainment projects, including Tsunami Wave Pool, Cobra Slide and Rainbow Slide. In recent years, relying on Bosten Lake, Bohu County developed its tourism, with the Dahekou Scenic Area of Bosten Lake as the center. Bosten Lake is becoming a cultural center integrating ecological tourism, parent-child recreation, water culture, and Journey to the West offering. (2020/05, 186G) |
