The first theme park “UNIQLO PARK “ to debut |
As a Japanese national brand, Uniqlo is deeply rooted in people’s hearts by its affordable price and life-like style. With the concept of “LifeWear” that has been promoted since 2013, Uniqlo has been trying for many years how to bring this spirit closer to consumers, through constantly co-branding with fashion designers, in order to carry forward the concept today, working with architect Sou Fujimoto to build a compound flagship space “UNIQLO PARK Yokohama Port Store” that combines retail, entertainment and lifestyle in Yokohama. It is said that the three-story high park has Uniqlo on the first floor, GU on the second floor and a children’s clothing area on the third floor. The building rises slowly like terraces, coupled with slides, green plants and azure harbor views will undoubtedly become a popular parent-child attraction in the future. The UNIQLO brand's inherently simple and pure white impression can be said to perfectly echo with Fujimoto's "white philosophy". UNIQLO PARK takes "both a park and a store" as its design concept, like a theme park, carrying all the beautiful things that are closely related to life. The park is located in Mitsui Outlet Park Yokohama Bay, Yokohama Bay, Japan. It covers an area of more than 1,000 pings. It not only covers 660 pings of UNIQLO stores and 550 pings of GU shops, but also a white hilly space, including slides and jungle stadiums, game areas, pavilions and other facilities make the scope no longer limited to apparel retail, but an experience park that can truly touch every aspect of life.
