New theme world in German amusement park |
The amusement park in Brühl, Germany, has quietly opened the new “Rookburgh” theme world. In this area, characterized by steam and 19th century technology, the world's first flying coaster, according to the park, is now available. The special thing about it: After taking off, the passengers are turned from a sitting position to a prone position.
The park describes the silent opening of the new theme area as a "soft launch". The roller coaster “Flying Launch Coaster F.L.Y.” will probably not run regularly in this phase. Park guests have to be prepared for "restricted flight times". Not only a new roller coaster, but also the new restaurant “Uhrwerk” and the hotel “Charles Lindbergh” are available from now on. Parts of the roller coaster even run through the hotel. Guests who book a room there can also experience the new subject area at night and receive preferential access to the roller coaster. The new “1919” bar is also open to them. The park operators point out that due to the hygiene measures, only a limited number of park guests are allowed to stay in "Rookburgh" at the same time. So there could be waiting times. In May, the park published its hygiene rules for visiting the park during the pandemic. (2020/10, 191G)
