Lakes Entrance in Australia to get inflatable water park |
A new inflatable water park will be installed at Lakes Entrance in Victoria, Australia, following a three-year lease agreement with the East Gippsland Shire Council, replacing paddle boats to reinvigorate the tourism economy business which has been operating in the region for 38 years. The 1,400-square-meter Lakes Entrance Aqua Park will be operated by the company which also runs a similar park in Canberra and is expected to open by October or November 2021 and attracts up to 10,000 guests during the first period. Company spokesman Will Yup described the park as "a bunch of pillows and Ninja warrior stuff on the lake," and said they would employ lifeguards to ensure the safety of park attendees. East Gippsland shire council chief executive Anthony Basford said, “It was an exciting development for the town. We are really looking forward to seeing what this can do to stimulate and attract people to Lakes Entrance." (2021/3&4, 195G)
